Walk the Spine Team Way!
Are you in the myWellness American Adventures challenge? We’re now in week 4, with four weeks to go. Thousands of Northwell employees have joined together, both in virtual teams and site-by-site with their colleagues, to do a “coast-to-coast” tour of the United States.
The weather is finally cooperating, and the steps are racking up. Participants have logged an amazing 611,268,682 steps, with the first place teams reaching as far as Hollywood and one Hidden Destination, and right now, several teams are neck and neck in San Agustin Basin and Keystone. Walking is energizing, clears your head and the movement keeps your joints, back and heart strong.
Keep up with tracking in myWellness at least one time each week so you can earn 3,000 reward points. Teams are having fun keeping each other motivated. Check out this great team video: Walk the Spine Team Way! Spine Team (Physician Partners at Great Neck) is on their way to Hollywood!
Congrats to the winners of the first three weekly Sneaker Raffles: Eric Eng (LIJ Pharmacy); Maura Larkin (Foundations) and Ryan Pitts (Monter Cancer Center). You’ve got to be in it to win it, and these employees each won a $100 gift card to invest in new sneakers at Modell’s.
Are you working your way to Wellness Warrior status by completing this challenge? Our 2016 Wellness Warriors have been sharing pictures of their trips of a lifetime: an engagement in Maldives, a relaxing visit to St. Lucia, and a visit to the wonders of China are some of the trips taken. Will you be next? Watch for Wellness Warriors’ stories on Facebook (Northwell Life page).
Be sure to complete the American Adventures challenge by tracking at least one time each week (you can back track for up to 2 weeks) at Northwell.edu/myWellness.
In addition to trips that will be raffled to randomly selected 2017 Wellness Warriors, two lucky winners will be randomly selected from the American Adventures challenge to win trips also, so be sure to complete your American Adventure.
