When You’ve Got to Get to Work…
Argh! Your sitter just called out sick and your shift starts in two hours. No worries – Northwell Health, in partnership with Bright Horizons Care Advantage, now offers back-up child and elder care when your regular routine falls through.
“My husband and I were not able to take spring break with the kids this year, so the timing of this new benefit was perfect. We found a great center close to home and the kids had a blast,” says Jaclyn Thanasas, mother of two and senior executive assistant at Northwell Health.
Register for the program now at careadvantage.com/Northwell, so you are ready when that emergency “I have to get to work” event occurs! The program offers ten visits per year with the calendar beginning on April 1, 2017.
- First time users login with username Northwell and password care4you
- Once online, you’ll need your Universal ID (your email address minus @northwell.edu) and a new password to register – allow time to fully register
The back-up care program offers not only center-based care to children under 13, it also offers in-home care for a child or elder relative. The fee for center-based care is $15 per child per visit ($25 for two or more children), in-home care is $6 an hour, with a four hour minimum.
“I used the in-home service for my 11 month old daughter when our nanny called out. I was very happy with the care she received and would definitely use this service again,” says Lior Brimberg, assistant professor for Feinstein Institute for Medical Research.
Northwell Health strives to balance your work life with your home life. For more information, visit employee intranet>myHR>Total Rewards>Work/Life Programs or call their 24/7 call center at 877-242-2737.
