More challenges to keep you motivated
Feeling energized by the momentum you and your team have built on your Walk to Dublin? There’s no need to stop now, even if you’ve already achieved the 3.7 millions steps as a team to reach Dublin.
If you’ve been syncing your steps daily on the myWellness/Virgin Pulse mobile app, have you also been earning points by completing your daily cards? We’ve been hearing from lots of you that you like the quick info-bites in the daily cards.
If you’re looking for more challenges to keep your motivation and team spirit high, check out the other challenges you can create on the mobile app. There are three step challenges, the 1 Day Throwdown, Weekend Rumble and Weekday Step-off. Three great ways to motivate yourself and your teammates to get in more steps and keep moving.
Did you know there are also a few dozen Healthy Habit Challenges? You can create it quickly, simply invite your friends on your myWellness/Virgin Pulse list, and you’ve got a challenge. Once you join, you’ll be prompted in your Healthy Habits screen of the app.
Here’s a quick rundown of options that may start you on a path to new healthy habits you can live with every day:
Exercise break: Did you take a break for 5 minutes of exercise today?
Like Clockwork: Did you hit your bed time and wake time?
Sweet Knowledge: Did you check sugar on food labels today?
Flavored Bubbles: Did you curb your sugar craving with a low-calorie drink today?
Additional Healthy Habit Challenges include Relaxation Breathing, Walk & Talk, Stairs, Park Far Away, Lean Mean Protein, Smaller Sips, Morning Drink, Veg Out, and so many more.
Think of one area you’ve been wanting to work on — perhaps getting to bed earlier, or drinking more water — and find the challenge for that to get you started. Incorporating tiny habits into your daily routine can lead to lasting change. At your desktop, Northwell.edu/myWellness/Challenges. Or on your Virgin Pulse mobile app under CHALLENGES.
